Amusement parks in difficulty in the face of the crisis: losses which can amount to several million euros!


Restrictive measures limit the damage, but for how long?

Summer is ending in a few days, and when it comes time to take stock, we quickly realize that some sectors are suffering a lot more than others. While the tourism and recreation sector has held up relatively well, not everyone can take their breath away by doing the math.

First, the lockdown has left its mark on everyone and even a good summer will not be used to make money. Then the figures show that the larger structures suffered much more from the restrictive measures and the fear of people to mix. This applies, for example, to amusement and leisure parks. If they have been able to reopen their doors since May 18 for animal parks and July 1 for amusement parks, none has yet been able to welcome as many visitors as in other years. Limited to around 30% of their usual capacity, the shortfall sometimes amounts to millions of euros.
