Amusement parks are allowed to start access after large-scale testing

The extensive trials with large-scale testing for access to animal parks, amusement parks and museums will start next week. The Testing for Access program is intended to gradually reopen the Netherlands. The trade association for day attraction companies Club van Elf expects that many people will want to take such a test to gain access, says director Kees Klesman in Goedemorgen Nederland.

“It is part of this pilot to see how great that willingness to test is,” says Klesman. “Fortunately, children up to the age of 13 do not need to be tested, I understand. That way it remains accessible to families. ”

Limited spots

Not everyone can buy a ticket right away. Only limited places are available for the tests, says Klesman. “Some parks have season ticket holders who have been waiting for a long time. They have been very loyal today. A number of companies therefore use their subscription holders for these tests. Others are open to the public, such as Keukenhof. ”

The Keukenhof may already be open to the public on a limited basis on Friday 9, Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 April. Then 5000 visitors per day are allowed in. There are also test days the following weekend. Further easing may come in May.
