The two suspects who were arrested in Amsterdam last night on suspicion of involvement in an explosion in Rotterdam are associated with a series of violent incidents in the port of South Holland.

Shortly after the explosion on Jagthuisstraat in Rotterdam last night, a 20-year-old woman and a 21-year-old man from Amsterdam were arrested.
Last Thursday, the building where the explosion took place was also shelled. Nobody was injured. The building was closed immediately afterwards.
Multiple shootings
The duo is also associated with other shootings in Rotterdam. For example, there have previously been shooting incidents on the Frits Ruysstraat, Potgieterstraat, Van Galenstraat and the Mathenesserdijk. According to RTV Rijnmond there is a relationship between the victims and cases may be related to drug crime.
Search two homes
After the duo were arrested, the police searched two homes in Amsterdam. A police spokesman confirms that one of those searches was on Eef Kamerbeekstraat on Zeeburgereiland. The photos show that members of the team walked into the apartment complex with a chainsaw, among other things.
The two suspects are in restrictions and should only have contact with their lawyer.
