That’s what he says to NH News. He and his friends wanted to go out yesterday, so he had himself tested at a Testing for Access test location in Halfweg. After an hour he received an email that the result was negative.

The boy’s friends also got a negative test result, so all the signals were green for a nice evening out. “I met a lot of people, I hugged a lot of people,” he tells NH Nieuws.

Phone call
He ends the evening in a packed shot bar, Chupitos. He doesn’t return home until 6:00 am, and he goes to bed.
His night’s sleep is short-lived, because at 9:00 a.m. he is woken up by a call from Covidia, the test provider. They have bad news: he got the wrong test result and is infected with corona.
Guilty
Huge shock for the boy, who, according to NH Nieuws, also feels quite guilty: “I feel really bad that I visited people extra. And that I now have to send people a message: I do have corona.”

Testing for Access has responded to NH Nieuws and confirms that it went wrong. “Two people tested positive at that test location yesterday and only this person went wrong. These are situations that we must avoid,” said a spokesperson.
The organization is in talks with Covidia to ensure that they can prevent this in the future.
