Amsterdam gets new night train to Venice, Milan and Prague

Happiness for people in the city who like to go on holiday in Europe but prefer not to use the plane. From 15 October, a new night train will run twice a week from Central Station to cities such as Milan, Venice, Verona and Prague.

If you board in Amsterdam in the evening, you can arrive at the chosen destination in the morning. The list of destinations includes Prague, Venice, Milan, Verona, Innsbruck and Vienna.

The trains run under the name GreenCityTrip.nl. The organization says that since corona there has been greater interest in sleeper trains, which are also a more sustainable alternative to flying.

European night train network

It is not the first night train to a European destination from Amsterdam. In May, the NS launched a night train to Vienna, as a result of which the Netherlands became part of the European night train network again after four years.
