Amsterdam drill rappers prosecuted for inflammatory texts and possession of weapons

It concerns rappers Biggs Kaki and Jorra, or 24-year-old Diego M. and 28-year-old Jordan S. from Amsterdam. They appear tomorrow in court, writes the Amsterdam newspaper Het Parool.

Intensive Care

The alleged incitement and violation of the gun law would have taken place in a video clip titled Intensive Care. The video was posted on YouTube over a year ago:

The text contains the following passages: ‘Aim at my opps, they do hands in die air’ and: ‘We bunch those guns, those bullets go fast’. ‘Opps’ are opponents, ‘bossen’ stands for shooting, writes Het Parool.

Artist

Diego M.’s lawyer, Maarten Kuipers, thinks that the Public Prosecution Service sees the case as a test case. He believes that his client has expressed himself as an artist. “Of course he has freedom of speech.”
