New Delhi: Indian Railways Amrita Bharat Express is here to make the journey of the common man faster and smoother. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off the project on 30th in Ayodhya. 2 trains will be flagged off. The first Amrit Bharat is on the Ayodhya-Darbhanga route.
Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh is the birthplace of Rama in the Ramayana. Reportedly, this train is routed to Darbhanga via Sitamarhi in Bihar, which is considered the birthplace of Goddess Sita. The second train service will be run on the Begamlur-Malda route.
It is estimated that the ‘push pull’ Amrit Bharat Express running at a speed of 130 km will be very beneficial for guest workers. Amrit Bharat Express, which was earlier known as Vande Sadharan, is modeled on the same model as Vande Bharat. Amrit Bharat trains were also manufactured at the Integral Coach Factory in Chennai.
Amrit Bharat Express is non-AC in orange-grey colour. Push pull seats are special. There are 22 coaches in the train. It has 8 general second class coaches, 12 second class 3-tier sleeper coaches and 2 guard compartments.
Railways also informed that special coaches have been arranged for differently abled persons and women. CCTV, FRP modular toilets and sensor water taps in bogies have also been installed.
