Amr Diab Returns to Global Village Stage in Dubai: Honoring Winners, Promoting New Album, and Encouraging the Egyptian National Team

After years of absence, Egyptian star Amr Diab returned to perform on the Global Village stage in Dubai, amidst a huge audience from all the different Arab communities in the UAE.

Honoring the winners

Amr Diab started his night in the Global Village by taking souvenir photos with 10 winners chosen by the Global Village to meet Diab and take photos with him, after he gave a speech to the media about his happiness to sing again in the Global Village and visit the Emirate of Dubai.

After absence

The Egyptian star ascended the stage to the tunes of his famous song “Ya Ana Ya La” amidst shouts from the audience, and Diab expressed his happiness to meet them again after an absence of more than 25 years since he sang for the first time in the village in 1999.

Encouraging the Egyptian national team

During the ceremony, Diab welcomed his friend, the former Egyptian national team player Muhammad Zidanewho was among the crowd, asked the audience to applaud him, and promised to watch the Egyptian team’s match against its Ghanaian counterpart in the African Cup of Nations in Côte d’Ivoire together after the ceremony.

Promoting the album

During the ceremony, Amr Diab promoted his new album, “Your Place,” which was released exclusively on the platform AnghamiHe asked the audience to subscribe to the platform to listen to the songs of the new album, saying: A few days ago I released my new album with Anghami, and I would like to thank them for their advertising in all the streets of Dubai.

During the concert, Amr Diab presented his new song “Ya Qamar”, which he considered to be one of the most important songs of his new album, saying: “The poet could have sat writing in it endlessly.” After completing the lyrics of the songs up to number 10, he said, “I forgot the rest.” The audience interacted with him and completed the song’s lyrics for him.
