The AMPA of CEIP Infante Don Fernando de Antequera has once again denounced the suppression of a hotline 3-year-old Infant Education in the Los Patos building for the next academic year. This is a well-known situation that already mobilized the entire educational community two years ago, when it was also about to get lost.
As they explain in a statement, on this occasion they have presented 35 registration applications and although at first they had received the approval of a second educational unit by the territorial delegation of Education in Malaga, finally the Ministry has “dismissed and rejected” the request. In this sense, they have insisted that the number of applications could have been much higher since there have been parents who, before the news, have decided not to target the children.
For this reason, the families of the students have expressed their total discomfort at the “considerable reduction in educational quality” that their children are going to suffer, as well as the “unequal treatment” what are they getting Compared to other schools religious groups in the area. “Three of them have the same or a similar number of applications and they have been granted two groups from the beginning,” they have pointed out, this not being the first time.
“In 2021, they also wanted to suppress the second line of this same level, citing the low number of enrollments that, in reality, was similar to that of the aforementioned centers. Finally, with a lot of effort, this other line was saved”. And it is that, to this day, these two groups, now 4 years old, are almost completesince new students have been enrolling “since the center is located in a central area and clear expansion from Antequera”, they have explained.
In this way, initially only one line of 25 students has been grantedso the rest will have to go to other educational centers that are further away or that were not their preference.
In addition, it must be remembered that one of the peculiarities of this educational center is that it is Prepared to serve children with specific educational support needs, residing there another great added value. “We want the school that we have requested for our children, since it has all the services such as Attention to Diversity and Attention to students with Specific Educational Support Needsmorning classroom, dining room and extracurricular activities ”, they have pointed out.
Finally, the educational community has asked the Ministry of Education this second line in the face of the “clear comparative grievance” with respect to other centers, as well as to also lower the ratio of the groups.
