the essential This Thursday, August 31 at the Stade Michel-Bendichou in Colomiers, PSG and AC Milan will face each other in the final of the international pre-season tournament. A competition with great ambitions and values.
As its name suggests, the AMOS Women’s French Cup is a women’s football tournament whose main partner is the AMOS sports management school. The partnership between the two was born from the first edition as something classic, before the tournament took the name of the school.
For Sylvestre Louis, general manager of ACE Eductaion for the AMOS group, this happened naturally: “We fell in love with the event, the organizing team and the values that the competition wanted to promote.”
What also appealed was the international dimension of this tournament, which had become a real benchmark for clubs from all over Europe: “What also won us over was the international vision of the event and above all that at the time, women’s football was not as developed,” adds Sylvestre Louis.
A desire to move forward together
With this almost precursory vision for the time, this association was therefore made almost logically with, for the tournament as for AMOS, common values and desires. Very formative for the students who participate as volunteers, it was an opportunity to seize: “It’s concrete for our students, they have access to all facets of the tournament, but more generally to a major event international with the requirements that go with it.”
In the future, the tournament, like the school, aims to develop internationally. By the arrival of Asian or South American clubs for the tournament or by the partnerships established by the school, nothing is set in stone.
Last proof that the two are going in the same direction, the AMOS group has become a partner of the women’s section of PSG which is playing this evening at 9 p.m. the grand final of the tournament against AC Milan.
