Professor Hyunseon Choi of Sangmyung University presented on ‘Lactobacillus brevis fermentation GABA: Effects on behavior and molecular responses in sleep disorder and stress models.’ This suggests that ‘L-glutamate fermentation GABA powder (a raw material manufactured from Lactobacillus brevis fermentation using sodium L-glutamate as a raw material)’ can help improve sleep and relieve symptoms similar to depression and anxiety caused by stress.
Professor Seungsoo Jeong of Yonsei University shared about ‘a study on the effect of consuming heat-treated green tea extract on improving cognitive function in rodent models of menopausal depression and aging, and on the effect of improving memory in adults complaining of memory discomfort.’ The related study confirmed the functionality of heat-treated green tea extract, a key ingredient in a memory improvement product that the Vital Beauty brand will launch this year.

Next, Professor Dongryeol Ryu of the Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology gave a presentation on the topic ‘Strategies for healthy aging: endogenous and exogenous.’ The presentation introduced the results of the effects of phenylactic acid (PLA), a metabolite produced by the intestinal microorganism Lactobacillus, and ginseng fruit on aging.
