The Medicines Authority announced the names of the medicines which have been withdrawn from the market, they are:
1- Phenytin cap 100, which is used to treat epileptic seizures and other tonic seizures.
2- Neurimax soft gelatin capsule is used as a nutritional supplement and treatment for nerve inflammation.
The third medicine, “SCARO PLUS CREAM 50GM,” is used to treat and improve scars.
Reasons for withdrawing medicines from the Egyptian market
The Medicines Authority indicated that the decision to withdraw these medicines was based on non-compliance with the specifications set by the Medicines Authority laboratories.

The Medicines Authority has instructed citizens to follow the decisions of the Medicines Authority regarding medicines, their removal, and counterfeit medicines, indicating that they are getting medicines through pharmacies. medicine, emphasizing that if there is fear or doubt about any medicine, one must communicate with the Medicine Authority or the pharmacist, who is responsible for explaining all matters related to medicines.

It is worth noting that Dr. Ali Al-Ghamrawi, the head of the Medicines Authority of Egypt, announced that all types of medicine for all therapeutic groups, especially antibiotic medicines and blood pressure, provided in the local market from July last year until now, with a limit on which the authority received any complaints about them.
The Chairman of the Authority confirmed that more than one million packages of Megamox 1 gm have been pumped, as well as quantities exceeding 800 thousand packages of Flumox 1 gm tab and that more than 200 thousand packages are under production, and more than 400 thousand packages of Curam tablet 1 gm has been pumped and 200 thousand packages are under production, more than 5 million packages of Cefotax 1 gm vial have been pumped, and more than one million packages are under production.
