We welcome the appeal of some of the former central youth leaders, but we are surprised why all the former leaders of the organization were not included in making a statement of support for the future chairman of the Central Party.
We want the Estonian Central Party to be united and strong again. We want the Center Party to once again become a party where people proudly rally behind us because they feel that we stand for the voters.
We do not accept a situation where a place in the European Parliament is placed higher than the future of the party, the party is divided on the national level, labeled into camps, “our men” and not, patriots and others.
Yes, we want changes in the party. Mihhail Kõlvart is the person who can implement them. He is a team player who takes into account the opinion of party members and, let’s be honest, he is the most popular politician of the Center Party. This is also shown by the election results.
This year’s Riigikogu elections can rightly be called the biggest crash in the history of the party, from which it was necessary to draw conclusions immediately. In the current situation, the party needs not only a political leader, but a good strategist and crisis manager, who is the current vice-chairman of the party, head of the Union of Estonian Towns and Municipalities and chairman of the Tallinn Council of the party – Mihhail Kõlvart. He has experience in various leading positions both in the city and in the party and in the world of sports, including at the international level.
We have to decide together who the party needs more at this moment. A person who can pull the party out of the quagmire, so to speak, or just a skilled politician. We believe that Tanel Kiik is a strong and worthy candidate and his time at the head of the party will definitely come, but right now it is necessary to save the party and only Mihhail Kõlvart can do it.
