Unfortunately, Fredrik Olsson had bad news about Amnesia: The Bunker when he stepped in front of the camera earlier this month. Fortunately, that is not the case today. On the contrary.
Frictional Games has released a new video in which Olsson shows off and explains three important aspects of Amnesia: The Bunker. The first is experimentation. This is basically what the studio has been talking about from the very beginning, as it’s how this part of the series will be more like an “immersive sim” where we’ll be able to combine and do things that will react realistically. Then we have levels of difficulty. These choices will be very simple at launch since we can only choose between easy, medium and hard, each of which adjusts how long the generators last, how aggressive the monster is, the number of save points and the like. After launch, we get more options thanks to an update that includes an even higher difficulty level and one that we can customize ourselves. Finally, we have the replayability, where Olsson explains that the monster, resources, location of items, codes and more will be different for each playthrough.
In conclusion, it bears repeating that Amnesia: The Bunker launches on June 6, so don’t expect any more delays.
