AMLO will attend the presentation of Beatriz Gutiérrez’s book at the Zócalo

President Andrés Manuel López Obrador announced that he will attend the presentation of the book “Silent Feminism,” whose author is his partner Beatriz Gutiérrez Müller, on Tuesday, August 13 in the capital’s Zócalo.

“I’m going to take this opportunity to tell you that next Tuesday my partner and wife, Beatriz, is going to present her book, it’s called ‘Silent Feminism’. She’s going to present it here at the Zócalo and I’m going to go and now I remembered.”

In his press conference this morning, the president said that the presentation will take place at five o’clock in the afternoon on Tuesday of next week.

“I am not going to speak, it is not my responsibility, I am going to listen, and you are all invited.”

The head of the Executive stated that in his book, Gutiérrez Müller addresses “in a masterful manner” the issue of social networks, whose use has been magnified, but that it is still a minority group that interacts on them.

“One of the conclusions that Beatriz has reached is that direct, personal, word-of-mouth communication will continue for a long time. I hope to make a good interpretation, otherwise they will complain about it.”

Another of the themes addressed in the work, she said, is feminism. She considered that, as in other disciplines of the social sciences, it is still an important and valid current of thought, “but still elitist, because it is not inclusive, it does not take into account the opinion of all women.”
