AMLO shortens speech in Nuevo Laredo due to FRENAAA protests

Nuevo Laredo.- Before the protests of members of FRENAAA, President Andrés Manuel López Obrador shortened his speech to 3 minutes and 49 seconds and did not respond to the demands of Governor Francisco Javier García Cabeza de Vaca (PAN).

“Out with López, out with López, out with López,” harangued members of the National Anti-AMLO Front, while the President supporters they threw cheers and cheers on his behalf.

As in last August, on their visit to Tamaulipas, hundreds of people gathered around the facilities of the Sports Module of the Francisco Villa neighborhood of this border town.

“I will be brief because there is a lot of passion and they mobilized a lot in Nuevo Laredo and we must take care of the pandemic, that there are no contagions, so that the less time we spend together is for now the better, avoid contagions and maintain a healthy distance ”.

In his message, the head of the Executive stressed that the urban improvement works are for people living in marginalized neighborhoods of the entity in which 1,400 million pesos were invested.

He stated that despite the differences with the Governor Cabeza de Vaca, the general interest will be put forward and surely supporting the people of Tamaulipas.

“It is public and notorious, it is in the public domain that we have differences with the State government, but regardless of these differences we must put the general interest, the interest of the people and the interest of the nation first, we are going to continue supporting the people of Tamaulipas and trying to maintain good relations in what corresponds to public tasks with the municipal governments of Tamaulipas and with the state government ”.

“We are always going to take into account the people of Tamaulipas, long live Tamaulipas, long live Mexico, long live Mexico,” the President harangued and concluded his message.

Before the PAN governor asked the head of the Executive for his intervention to have an equitable treatment in the conflict over water with the United States.

He said that the federation, specifically the National Water Commission, must put order and that the farmers of the lower Rio Grande are not affected this season by the lack of water for their crops.

He also insisted that the Fiscal Coordination pact should be improved, because Tamaulipas is one of the entities that contributes the most to the Treasury box. “Put yourself in our shoes,” Cabeza de Vaca said in reference to when López Obrador was head of government in 2002 and presented a constitutional controversy to demand the resources that corresponded to Mexico City.
