At around 8:45 p.m. (Mexico), President Andrés Manuel López Obrador and his delegation arrived in the United States capital and will spend the night at the official residence of the Mexican Embassy in the United States, which is guarded by the Secret Service of that country.
The distance between the official residence and the Mexican embassy in the United States it is 15 minutes by car. It is located on Loughboro Road Northwest, in Washington, it is a wooded area and being an embassy building it is Mexican territory.
Before the arrival of President López Obrador, outside the official residence there are four Secret Service vehicles and inside more vehicles of the entourage. The security device that will be kept all night is discreet.
The Washington police escorted López Obrador and his entourage during the transfer from the airport to the official residence.
Tomorrow the activities of the Mexican president begin at practically the same time as the morning conferences, will honor the monuments of Abraham Lincoln and Benito Juárez, to then go to the White House and hold the meeting with Donald Trump.
Habitually the guests of the US leaders spend the night at the Blair House, the official guest residence of the White House, which is a few steps from it, but López Obrador will not sleep there because it is under renovation,
