President Andrés Manuel López Obrador met with governors in the Treasury Hall of the National Palace. This, to prepare a last stage of mass vaccination against covid-19 throughout the country, in addition, strategies to improve the public health system will also be reviewed.
“They are summoned for the health issue, because that is an issue that we have to resolve, to improve the public health system in the country. It is a commitment and we have to do it together, “she advanced in a morning conference.
López Obrador acknowledged that although the country is in a favorable situation in the face of the reduction of the pandemic, a large part of the population has not yet applied the biological reinforcement, so it is necessary “to continue convincing them, (…) We should not trust each other,” he said.
“So today we are going to take the last step in what corresponds to mass vaccination to be calm, protect people,” explained the president in his morning press conference today.
The governors began to arrive at the National Palace minutes after 11:00 a.m., as the meeting was scheduled to start at noon. Rubén Rocha, state president of Sinaloa, reaffirmed that one of the objectives is to conclude the vaccination campaign.
“The theme of massification, to carry out a very intense campaign, to conclude the issue of vaccination. We have already been dealing with the health issue, we have already been making diagnoses in the states. In my state, the diagnosis has already been made and each state is going to resolve when IMSS Welfare enters, ”she explained.
The members of the federal health cabinet also attended the meeting, as well as the Secretary of Foreign Affairs, Marcelo Ebrard.
