The federal government announced this Tuesday the creation of the “La Clínica es Nuestra” program, for the rehabilitation of 11,913 health units in 27 states.
President Andrés Manuel López Obrador stressed that with this mechanism, which will have a budget of 6 billion pesos, direct support will be given to local committees to rehabilitate each health center.
“This program alone implies an investment, which I do not spend, of around 6 billion pesos,” said the president in his daily press conference at the National Palace, where he was accompanied by the governors of 23 states belonging to the IMSS-Wellness program. in addition to health authorities.
“To make it clear to us and there be no misinterpretations: first, we have sufficient budget for the entire plan, to guarantee the right to health, we have a budget, everything that is required, because there is no corruption.”
Secondly, he highlighted that “there is no limit, there is no ceiling for what is required to guarantee the health of our people. The general director of the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS), Zoé Robledo, said that the program will be transferred to the Health Committees for Well-being who will determine what actions will be applied regarding the furniture and resources of each medical unit.
