Amir Tawfiq, manager of contracts at Al-Ahly Club, denied that offers from the Turkish League to team player Walid Suleiman had been received, as had been raised in the last hours on social media.
In statements to “Yalla Koura”, Amir Tawfiq said: “We did not receive any Turkish offers for Walid Suleiman,” denying the veteran player’s departure to the Turkish league.
On the possibility of including the Pyramids goalkeeper Ahmed El-Shennawy, Amir Tawfiq said: “We have never spoken with El-Shinnawy, and we have no intention of negotiating with the guard. Al-Ahly has distinguished guards in the first team and the youth team.”
Al-Ahly Contracting Director added: “Before that, I denied the Al-Shennawi negotiations, and again denied them, the Pyramids keeper, who is completely out of our calculations. I follow daily news about his approach to Al-Ahly, even though there are no negotiations at all.”
Tawfiq stressed the respect of Al-Ahly club to Ahmed Al-Shennawi, adding: “The Pyramids keeper is distinguished and has great potential, but we are not thinking of signing him.”
Amir Tawfiq concluded: “I hope, before some people raise the issue of Ahmed Al-Shennawi’s transfer to Al-Ahly, to ask the club about whether he wants to include the goalkeeper or not.”
