Amir Mortada Mansour, General Supervisor of the ball at Zamalek Club, revealed the scenes of his phone call with Hussam Al-Zanati, head of the Egyptian Football Association’s competitions committee.
“I spoke with Al-Zanati a little while ago about some matters related to the matches of Zamalek locally and in Africa,” Amir Mortada said in statements to “Al-Zamalek” channel.
“Concerning setting the date for February 28 for the Esperance match by going to the Champions League, we asked to play on the 29th, but in the end enough, he will have accounts related to marketing and broadcasting rights.”
“Al-Zanati revealed to me some matters regarding the identification of matches by the CAF, and in the end all things are contained. We will play the match, whether 28 or 29, we do not want to disperse ourselves.”
“With regard to the stadium, it will be decided after coordination with the security authorities,” he stressed.
“There are words about the top league match, the matter has not been decided once and for all.”
The Egyptian Football Association had previously confirmed the date of the summit match between Al-Ahly and Zamalek in the league on February 24 in the Cairo International Stadium Stadium.
He concluded, “Al-Zanati assured me that Zamalek will not play any domestic match in the league between the two matches of Esperance in the quarter-finals of the African Champions League, and that is for sure.”
According to the schedule of the Zamalek matches in February, Esperance will meet in the African Super in Qatar on 14, then Al-Ahly on 20 in the Emirates in the Egyptian Super, and on 24 with Al-Ahly in the league, then 28 in front of Esperance.
