It was by paying tribute to his mother, who died on April 22, 2023, that Amir decided to make his musical comeback. This fall 2024, the singer unveiled his new album, c amir, anagram of the first name of the one he lost. Indeed, with this new opus, he pays tribute to her and has decided to open up on the subject in the columns of Cinema TV Review, this Thursday, September 19. More broadly, this project is also dedicated to his family, notably to his grandmother, but also to his wife, Lital.
“I was surrounded by my family during this whole period of mourning that we went through”explains Amir. “In this context, it was natural for me to pay tribute to them and tell anecdotes that concern them.” In fact, in the song Complementaryhe declares his love to the woman who is also the mother of his children, Mikhaël (5 years old) and Or (2 years old). “What is the secret of your relationship?”the journalist from the weekly magazine then asks him. “She’s the secret”Amir replies without hiding his admiration for his wife. “Being married to a singer is not easy. We run after our passion. I think it’s easier to be in a relationship with a dentist, and I stole that from her, so she deserves credit.”

Following the release of his new album, Amir agreed to speak to Parisian. During the interview he talks about the song In the Morning of the Worldin which he talks about his mother. “She is with me from morning to night, in my thoughts”, he confides. “She is a very central being in my life. Losing her was an earthquake.” He explains that he continues to cling to her by making her “exist in songs”. “I try to imagine everything through her eyes and make her proud, my reflex since childhood”adds the artist. He continues to confide, explaining that she was a strong woman “who clung to life and spread life”despite his illness. It was a difficult and long ordeal. “Two years of fighting against an illness”he adds. “With my brothers, we turned over every stone on earth to find a cure. There were moments of hope and despair that I evoke head-on in the song ‘Mal Agir'”, concludes the father of Mickhaël and Or.
