Amir-Abdollahian discusses Israeli-Palestinian conflict with Qatari and EU counterparts

TEHRAN, Oct. 10 (Xinhua) — Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian discussed the latest developments in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict with his Qatari counterpart Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani and the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, in two separate telephone calls.

Speaking to Mr. Borrell on Monday evening, the Iranian foreign minister accused the Israeli government’s policy towards the Palestinians of being behind the surprise attack launched by the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas. against Israelis, according to a statement published Tuesday on the website of the Iranian Foreign Ministry.

While criticizing the West for its indifference towards Israel’s policies and practices against the Palestinians, Amir-Abdollahian stressed the need for the international community to support Palestinian rights.
