Aminata’s emotional record resonates greatly

On the social network of the singer Aminata, Facebook has shared the story that she has not been satisfied with her appearance for a long time, ie how much she has survived because of her curly hair.

Aminata writes that she has wanted straight hair all her life and has tried almost all possible methods to straighten it.

“About 4 years ago, I couldn’t imagine going out with people with my natural hair. As a child, I really wanted them to be straight and grow down, like everyone else.

So I tried to “ground” them with at least 20 buckles every morning. It was clear from an early age that I would not be able to deal with them myself! Combing your hair was a painful event for several hours. When it came to a kindergarten party, there were always tears, protests and hysteria! To avoid this, my mother decided to cut her hair off, leaving only a few centimeters of hair, which I, as a little girl, was not happy about. But at least it wasn’t painful.

From then on, my life’s mission was to straighten my hair! I was looking for different ways to achieve this, and nothing happened, until at the age of 13 I learned about Afro hairdressers in Germany, where you can straighten your hair with the help of a chemical relaxer! Well my dream had finally come true! When I straightened my hair for the first time, I felt like in paradise! Finally beautiful! Straight hair up to the shoulders! The joy continued for 2 months until I grew new curly roots.

Chemical straightening should be done about every 2 months – when the roots grow. In order not to have to travel to Germany every two months, we bought several sachets with a relaxer so that we could do it ourselves in Latvia. We invited a local professional hairdresser. He put his relaxers on my hair in the same way as he usually puts hair color – on regrown roots and a little over on already straightened hair. Oh my God! After 15 minutes, half of the head fell into the field… Mati failed and broke. It is good that I listened to heavy metal at that time and also dressed accordingly. I made a defect into an effect and combed my hair to one side so that it looked like they had been cut deliberately on the other side. Despite this situation and the burns, going back to the old microphone was not an option! “By the time I finally got my hair straight, I was ready to do my best to keep it straight,” says Aminata.

She discovers that for the next 12 to 13 years, she straightened her hair every 2 to 3 months, living with hair breakage, hair loss, chemical burns, eczema, because she knew that beauty required sacrifices and was willing to pay the price of s”adu.

At the age of 20, she learned about hair extensions and, as she says, eventually became “obsessed” with it.

There was also excitement about hair when participating in the TV show “New Talent Factory”.

“When I took part in the show ‘New Talent Factory’, I was very scared that everyone would find out that it wasn’t my natural hair. In the evening, before going to bed, I took a shower again, where I took my hair off and put on a big hoodieto not see my short, chemically straightened hair. With everything hoodie lying in bed and, just getting safe under the blanket, wolf off hoodie and I could fall asleep. I did it all every day for three months.

Even after the “New Talent Factory” I can no longer leave home without long hair. It became a daily routine, “says Aminata.

The singer reveals that she went to a psychologist, where she realized that she had problems with self-esteem.

“Then I went to a psychologist’s office in a completely different context, where the visits lasted for almost a year! I realized that I have problems with self-esteem. That I can only be beautiful and loved with long straight hair. This is where my path of change began.

“My hair in the braids is finally resting. A year passed, and as I pulled off the braids, I saw my ‘microphone’ (which had grown back in the meantime)! My natural, bushy, healthy circus growing up! And I fell in love with them,” she says. singer.

She discovers that she learned to control her hair curls by nourishing them with hair oils and masks and collecting them at night with silk hair rubber and lying on a silk pillowcase.

“I’m not saying I’ll never justify my hair again because I like to change my hairstyles. But I definitely don’t want to hide anything anymore, experience that I don’t look like that, and I’m afraid I won’t love me. I finally like my hair, I like it “I don’t know what hairstyle I will have in the future, but I wanted to capture that.”

It should be noted that this post on Facebook caused a great deal of resonance, in the comments people rushed to overwhelm Amina with compliments on her appearance, including emphasizing that she has beautiful hair.
