Philippine​ Rains Expected: ‍Luzon Braces for ⁤Potential Flooding

According to PAGASA’s forecast, the Amihan will bring cloudy skies and rain to Cagayan Valley, the Cordillera Administrative Region, and Aurora province. ‍ simultaneously occurring, Quezon, Camarines Norte, Camarines⁣ Sur, and ⁣Catanduanes provinces are expected to experience⁢ cloudy skies with scattered showers and⁢ isolated thunderstorms due to the‌ shear line.​ These conditions could lead to “moderate to at times ‌heavy rains,” increasing the risk​ of flash floods ⁤and landslides.

While⁤ the Ilocos Region and the rest‌ of Central Luzon are ‌expected to see partly cloudy ‌skies with isolated light rain,⁣ the impact is anticipated to be minimal. Metro Manila and the ‍remaining areas of Luzon will experience partly cloudy ⁣to⁣ cloudy skies with isolated rain ‌showers ⁤or thunderstorms due to localized weather systems. ‌ These severe thunderstorms also pose a risk of flash floods and landslides.

Northern Luzon is expected to experience strong winds and rough coastal waters.Moderate to strong winds ​and moderate to​ rough coastal​ waters are also predicted for ‍the eastern sections of Central and Southern luzon, and ​the Visayas. the ⁤rest of the country⁣ will see lighter winds and calmer seas.
