Jakarta – Homicide Control Team (TP3) six FPI soldiers Habib Rizieq’s bodyguard this morning met with President Joko Widodo (Jokowi). Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud Md said the meeting was brief, no more than 15 minutes.
The meeting was held at the Presidential Palace Complex, Central Jakarta. TP3 is represented by Amien Rais to Marwan Batubara.
“The meeting lasted less than 15 minutes, talk was short and serious,” Mahfud said in a press statement delivered through the Presidential Secretariat YouTube account, Tuesday (9/3/2021).
Mahfud said Amien Rais et al conveyed his belief that the shooting incident that killed 6 FPI troops at Km 50 of the Japek Toll Road was a gross human rights violation. They, said Mahfud, also requested that the case be brought to a human rights court.
“They stated that they believed that there had been the murder of 6 FPI troops and they asked that this be brought to the human rights court for gross human rights violations, that was conveyed to the president,” said Mahfud.
“That’s all they say, they are sure that there have been murders committed by gross human rights violations, not ordinary human rights violations, so that the 6 FPI troops died,” he continued.
Mahfud emphasized that Jokowi had ordered Komnas HAM to work independently. The recommendations from Komnas HAM have also been accepted and are being processed by the authorities.
“The President has asked Komnas HAM to work independently and convey to the president what really happened and what the government should do, and Komnas HAM has provided reports and 4 recommendations, the 4 recommendations have been fully conveyed by the president so that they are processed transparently and can be judged by the public. that the findings of Komnas HAM that occurred in Cikampek Km 50 were ordinary human rights violations, “he said.
