The report cards of the fourth episode of Maria De Filippi’s Amici eveningthe one that aired Saturday 13 April. A decidedly special episode, which ended as it had never happened in the history of Amici: Lil Jolie and Sarah Toscano made it to the final ballot, but judge Michele Bravi chose not to eliminate anyone and ask for a further performance between the two which will take place next week.

Holden: vote All this is boring. He emerges from the staging gauntlet against Mida as worst as it could be: zero stage presence, autotune and inexplicably plaintive voice on Irama’s ‘Mediterranea’. What a burden. And even on ‘Solo tonight’ who knows what his true interpretation could be, given that the autotune is singing. ‘If it rained your name’, the hope is that it wouldn’t be as monotonous as Holden’s style has been since the beginning of the programme.
Midas: Downside vote. Beyond Rudy Zerbi’s bizarre theories, stage presence has considerable weight. And he has it. Here, he also continues to have autotune, although fortunately not always. The autotune abomination is partly compensated by his way of being on stage.
Sarah: I vote Give me a hug. First of all, his talent and stage presence should not be questioned by anyone. Just like you shouldn’t feel useless within the group. There are eighteen year olds with this personality and this talent. Her version of ‘Heart’ is goosebump-inducing.
Lil Jolie: vote So say it. How can it be sent to the ballot? Moreover, after only having her perform a couple of times in this episode. I don’t understand this fury, also because she is truly a force of nature.
Martina: vote Please follow her well. Once she leaves Amici, she deserves to have a team that values her because this girl is a real diamond. She has voice, personality, style. If she doesn’t win this edition’s singing circuit, I’ll chain myself to Michele Bravi’s boots.
Dustin: Bestial vote. In athletic preparation, in talent, in determination, in the ability to communicate. He has grown a lot since the first episode of the Evening, now he is almost a professional dancer. Lots and lots of stuff.
Sofia: I vote Strong, strong, strong. When she dances you don’t take your eyes off her, she knows how to make you enter the atmosphere of everything she does. It is truly one of the revelations of this evening. Oh mama.
Marisol: One vision vote. She doesn’t dance, she hypnotizes. Whatever she does on stage is magical, she has the rare ability to drag anyone who watches her into another world, a metaverse made of pure energy and poetry. Rare pearl.
Petit: Photocopy vote. ‘Sweet home Chicago’ in Neapolitan is something that cannot be heard except in the evenings of the Renzo Arbore style Italian Orchestra. Please, stop.
