The Americans, who until then had not known the affair, shared in mass their shocked reactions, some suddenly feeling invested with a mission: to find the father of the family.

For a few hours, speculations on Xavier Dupont de Ligonnès have been going well, some being convinced that the father suspected of having killed his wife and four children in Nantes, in April 2011, is still alive while others l ‘imagine in Italy or Spain.

Guy Joao, the French pensioner wrongly suspected of being Xavier Dupont de Ligonnès and arrested at Glasgow airport on October 11, 2019, recently granted an interview to M6 in which he described his arrest as “unimaginable science fiction”.
