According to the woman’s lawsuit, filed last year in the state of Missouri, her partner negligently infected her with the human papillomavirus (HPV) in 2017 after having unprotected sex.
Also according to the complaint, the latter asked the insurer of the car, Geico, for compensation for “losses and injuries”, as well as for “her past and future medical expenses”.

And the most surprising thing is that the plaintiff, a certain MO, won her case. Indeed, she received 5.2 million in damages from the insurer. This decision was upheld in June 2022 by the Missouri Court of Appeals.
“The insured should have mentioned his diagnosis to MO before the sexual activity took place, but he did not do so”, said the mediator of the case. In an interview with the Daily Mail, personal injury lawyer Miguel Custodio explains that the court’s decision is quite consistent:
«If you consider that an injury sustained in that person’s vehicle, that is totally within what an insurance company would be required to pay.”he pointed out.
