American troops await the order to enter Ukraine, this is the response of the Kremlin

FLY – The deployment of US (US) troops in Romania increases the security risk of Russia and will prompt Moscow to take countermeasures. This was stated by the spokesman of the Kremlin Dmitry Peskov.

Peskov’s remarks were in response to reports that the US Army’s 101st Airborne Division, currently stationed in Romania on the Ukrainian border, was awaiting an order to enter combat.

He went on to say that Moscow takes such a military presence into account in developing its security framework.

Peskov insists that such a deployment on Russia’s doorstep does not contribute to predictability and stability.

Speaking to CBS News last week, the commander of the U.S. 101st Airborne Division said they would not hesitate to enter Ukraine if a direct conflict between Russia and NATO broke out.

In total, about 4,700 US troops from the 101st Airborne Division were sent to Europe. Meanwhile in Romania, the division, dubbed the “Screaming Eagles”, held direct ground and air strike exercises with their NATO counterparts.

According to its commander, the division is the US unit closest to fighting in Ukraine and is actively monitoring the Russian military as it organizes exercises to “replicate exactly what is happening”.
