Southgate: Sterling will be involved against France
Raheem Sterling is back in Qatar and will play a part in England’s World Cup quarter-final against France on Saturday, England national team manager Gareth Southgate said.
Sterling quit the World Cup squad after burglars broke into his home. On Friday he returned to Qatar.
– He’ll be involved tomorrow. What it will be, we have to decide, Gareth Southgate said, according to Sky Sports.
– It’s great that he’s back with us. He wanted to train today. Normally we wouldn’t do this when you’ve been on a long flight. It was an easy session, so there was no risk” Southgate said.
Sterling played two games for England in the World Cup and scored one goal.
