This 31-year-old singer succumbed to the disease
The music world is in mourning. After the death of this singer at the age of 76, another artist has just left us. American singer Cat Janice died this Wednesday, February 28 at the age of 31. She led a battle against illness.
In 2022, the young woman was diagnosed with sarcoma, a rare form of cancer that affects the bones and soft tissues of the body. Despite treatments and remission, the illness returned in June 2023, this time spreading to both lungs.
Cat Janice knew she was doomed by illness and shared this sad news with her fans on TikTok at the beginning of 2024. In order to raise money for her son, Loren, the singer gave him the rights to her discography before her disappearance.

Her last song for her son went viral
His last song Dance You Outta My Head had gone viral. Cat Janice released this title with the aim of raise money for his sonshe claimed to want “his latest song brings joy and fun”. A week before her death, she spoke openly about her illness.
“The last few weeks have been very difficult for me. I am unable to walk, stuck in my body. It’s the hardest thing to go through emotionally. (…) Soon I will be free“, she wrote on her social networks.
Unfortunately, the young woman’s family announced her death this Wednesday, January 28, on Instagram. Cat Janice took her last breath “from her childhood home and surrounded by her loving family”. In the comments of the publication, Internet users gave their support to the singer’s family and obviously a thought for his son.
