American pop singer Aaron Carter has died at the age of 34. Backstreet Boys lead singer Nick’s younger brother scored hits at a young age, including I want candy in Aaron’s party. She broke through in 1997 at the age of 9 with the song Cooked for youa cover of the 1985 Jets song of the same name.
According to the entertainment website TMZ Carter was found dead in the bathtub of his home in Lancaster, California. The police only confirm that a dead man was found in the house. The cause of death is still under investigation, according to the singer’s leadership.
Carter was the act of support for the Backstreet Boys in the 90s and 00s Oops! I did it againBritney Spears tour. She has also played small roles in TV series and films, such as in Lizzie McGuire. It stars Hillary Duff, with whom Carter had a relationship for some time as a teenager.

The American singer starred in the reality show in 2006 House of the Carters, in which Aaron, his brother Nick and their three sisters lived together in a house in Los Angeles. In 2019, Nick claimed that his younger brother had threatened relatives. Aaron, in turn, accused Nick of abuse. Aaron is also rumored to have threatened his twin sister Angel with death. Both Nick and Angel have successfully filed a restraining order against Aaron.
Mental health problems
Aaron Carter has struggled with mental health problems and has had severe drug addiction in the past. In 2017 he was arrested for drunk driving and drug possession. Three years ago, he spoke openly about his mental problems in a television interview. He said he was diagnosed with anxiety disorders, schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.
Carter’s son Prince was born nearly a year ago. A week after birth, the singer divorced the baby’s mother, his girlfriend Melanie Martin. On social media, she said that her relatives were involved. She accused them, among other things, of lies.
Later it was rumored that the two were back together. Martin now states in a statement that Carter’s family hopes their privacy is respected. “We are still in the process of accepting this unfortunate reality,” he told her.
