The American School of Las Palmas (ASLP) is a co-educational institution, registered and recognized by the Ministry of Education and Culture in Spain. Students study, from kindergarten (year three) to grade 12, a North American educational program in English coordinated with the Spanish system, which applies the most effective international educational theories and practices.

In addition, they have an anti-bullying action program. The KIVA program is designed as an anti-bullying program for schools and ASLP has been using KIVA for 3 years. KIVA provides a clear curriculum for teachers and students along with training to understand how to implement the program with fidelity. KIVA offers schools strategies to build a stronger, safer and more empathetic community for all students. KIVA is used at all grade levels at the ASLP.
