Asked by AFP, the Paris prosecutor’s office confirmed the lifting of Travis Scott’s police custody today (Saturday) and the dismissal of the proceedings, the offence being insufficiently characterised.
Early Friday morning, police had were called to the Georges V Hotel and (had) arrested the nicknamed Travis Scott for violence against a security guard. The latter had himself intervened to separate the rapper from his bodyguardthe public prosecutor reported on Friday.
According to a police source, the rapper was accused of attacking the head of the hotel’s night security team and injuring him when the latter tried to intervene.
According to the same source, Travis Scott initially opposed an alcohol test and did not want to confirm his identity.
Hit in the forehead following the altercation with his bodyguard, Travis Scott initially received treatment at the hospital, the police source further indicated.
In this investigation entrusted to the 1st judicial police district, the rapper was placed in police custody on Friday morning, a measure which was lifted on Saturday at midday.
