American politician Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez made his debut on the video streaming site on Wednesday morning Twitch with one of the most watched streams ever. At the peak of the stream, 435,000 people watched.
Ocasio-Cortez streamed the popular game Among Us. In it, players have to fix a spaceship and figure out who the saboteur is at the same time.
The popular streamers Pokimane and HasanAbi played along. Ocasio-Cortez tweeted on Monday if anyone was interested in joining Another American politician, Ilhan Omar, decided to join.
The aim of the stream was to motivate Americans to vote in November’s presidential election.
Fortnitestreamer Ninja still holds the Twitch record for individual streamers: his stream with rapper Drake peaked at over 600,000 viewers.
