Victor Papazov gives a little more information about the American nuclear energy in his Facebook profile in the light of the decision that Bulgaria will sell the equipment of the Belene NPP to Ukraine.
Here is what he wrote:
– The last nuclear reactor to be commissioned is the Watts Bar Second Power Unit in Tennessee.
– The penultimate power unit was put into operation in 1996, again at the same plant.
During this period, American manufacturers tried to gain a foothold in international markets.
In 2007, Westinhouse signed a contract of intent to build four AR-1000 units in China. They were supposed to be put into operation in 2013, but they succeeded only 5 years later.
For these reactors, contracts have been concluded with Poland and also with India for 6 reactors, but construction has not yet started anywhere, let alone have any deadlines.
To know what “specialists” and NPP builders are deceiving us.
Without energy there is no economy and not even the internet. When the electricity goes out and these young Bulgarians who work with their brains for foreign companies and brag that they were IT people will be out of a job.
Those who intend to destroy the Belyane reactors commit national treason and condemn our children and grandchildren to misery and a return to the Middle Ages. And no, I’m not apocalyptic. Here’s the rough bill:
– Mr. Asen Vasilev signed the closure of the thermal power plants in Martsa East in 2026, which is three years from now. 40% of the capacity is lost.
– NPP gives about 30-35%. But the caretaker government signed off on the use of American fuel in the fifth unit of the nuclear power plant, which will effectively put it out of order.
– PAVETS Chaira was sabotaged and is also out of order, and it was a huge battery to store power from NPP and solar and wind power.
In short, in just 3-4 years, there is a very real danger of falling into a severe electricity shortage, which in turn will lead to a severe collapse of our modern way of life.
