The American companies ViacomCBS and Comcast join forces to offer the productions of their media brands in Europe on a joint streaming platform: SkyShowtime. It will include series and films from Sky, NBC, CBS, Universal, Paramount, Showtime and Nickelodeon via a subscription formula, the price of which will be announced later.

The platform will be launched in 2022 in more than twenty European countries, including the Scandinavian countries and the Netherlands. The streaming service will not be available in Belgium.

SkyShowtime will be a joint venture in which Comcast and ViacomCBS will invest equally and will each own half. The platform will run on the technology of Peacock, the American streaming service of Comcast subsidiary NBCUniversal.
