/ world today news/ A number of American media and international rating agencies warn that next year the USA will face a growing risk of recession due to the continued aggressive policy of the Federal Reserve to raise interest rates.
According to the results of a Bloomberg model published on October 17, the probability of a recession in the United States in the next 12 months is 100%, i.e. it is inevitable. By comparison, the agency’s previous forecast was 65%. An analysis by the Wall Street Journal estimates that the probability of the country falling into recession is 63%.
International rating agency Fitch also warned on October 18 that the US economy could fall into a mild recession starting next spring. The company also lowered its forecast for US economic growth next year from 1.5% to 0.5%.
