CATFISH. After only a short winter break of three months, the 2022 football season opened in Wels.
The Huskies Wels invited to the season opener against the Mostviertel Bastards in the Huskies Arena last Saturday. As early as 1 p.m., the first guests streamed in to take part in the Tailgate Party. While enjoying the burger variations, hot dogs, fries and more on offer together, the fans have already exchanged their expectations for the 2022 season. But the little fans didn’t miss out either. In addition to childcare with games, face painting and balloons, the kids had a real fun park with bouncy castles, giant slides, a throwing wall and other attractions at their disposal.
The warm-up training of the pack started at 2 p.m. and many a small, but also big fan took the opportunity to take a snapshot together with the players and coaches. With the kick-off at 3 p.m., the first game of the 2022 season started in front of a full house. As in the previous year, the Huskies Arena was packed to capacity. Cheered on by their fans, the Huskies got off to a successful start in the 2022 season with a 37-0 win.
The season opener was again a successful celebration for fans of America’s favorite sport and once again underlined that American football is a sport for the whole family. For everyone who wants to experience this spectacle for themselves, the next opportunity will be on April 16 from 1 p.m. when the Huskies Wels play against the BSK Ravens.
