American Football – Packers coach praises German receiver St. Brown – Sport

Green Bay (AP) – The German NFL professional Equanimeous St. Brown has been praised by his coach at the Green Bay Packers for his achievements this season.

“EQ did a great job. He took on the role, not just as a physically strong pass-taker who has strong scenes – he’s obviously had some explosive situations in the past week – but also as a member of the special teams,” said Matt La Fleur of the German Press Agency before the Packers’ upcoming home game against the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday. The special teams are used, for example, when the opponent kicks the football away.

St. Brown, who has a German and a US passport, was removed from the Packers’ roster at the beginning of the season. “That was a tough day,” said St. Brown of the decision. The team brought him back relatively quickly, however, and he has now been used in nine of the eleven games of the season. Most recently at 31:34 against the Minnesota Wild, he had good scenes and caught two passes from quarterback Aaron Rodgers for a total of 43 yards.

St. Brown reported that Rodgers had contacted him after the interim separation from the Packers and encouraged him. “He told me he had my back and wanted me to stay with the team,” said St. Brown.
