The New England Patriots, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Kansas City Chiefs and Carolina Panthers are now allowed to enter into advertising partnerships, organize events such as training camps and public viewings and be otherwise active in Germany. The rights initially apply for at least five years, as the league announced. With Jakob Johnson from Stuttgart, the Patriots have a German football professional in their squad. Germany is one of only three countries in Europe for which NFL teams have received marketing rights. Six teams will be allowed to be active in Great Britain in the future, two teams in Spain. Worldwide, the greatest interest in foreign rights was in Mexico, where nine teams have been marketing themselves since January 1st. The NFL rule is that teams are only allowed to do marketing within 75 miles of their seat. © dpa-infocom, dpa: 211215-99-399309 / 2 – – .
