Landesliga Baden-Württemberg: Badener Greifs – Konstanz Pirates (Sunday, 3 p.m., Carl Kaufmann Stadium, Karlsruhe). – The biggest hurdle on the way to another title and the march through to the Oberliga are now the Badener Greifs, who have only lost twice so far, while the Konstanzer only had to give up one game.
Since the Pirates won the first leg at the Bodensee Stadium 25:20, they would defend the top of the table if they lost by less than five points. Since two quite beatable opponents will be guesting in the Bodenseestadion on the home stretch, the title would be within reach in this case. But Pirates head coach Zeki Öztürk doesn’t want to get involved with such calculations, because he emphasizes: “We won’t go to Karlsruhe to lose!”

Although mathematically everything is still open, Öztürk also calculates: “If we return with a win from Karlsruhe, then things will look pretty good for us.” (August 6th) in the Bodenseestadion rise the next championship celebration.
But first it is important to call up a concentrated performance in Karlsruhe. “The atmosphere is good here. We are consistently preparing for the game, everyone is fit and looking forward to the game,” says the coach.

The basis for success will probably once again be the defensive, because on average the Pirates only allow 7.2 points and thus have by far the most stable defense in the league.
Recently, some rather careless actions ensured that the optimum was not achieved, so coach Öztürk also focused his efforts on avoiding penalties.
