Football pro Damar Hamlin remains in critical condition after suffering cardiac arrest in an NFL game. His Buffalo Bills team announced it on Tuesday. Hamlin is currently in the intensive care unit of a Cincinnati hospital and remains sedated. Hamlin’s uncle, Dorrian Glenn, provided more details about his health on ESPN.
Hamlin’s condition has improved since the lecture as a result, but there are concerns about possible lung damage. “I know she is struggling. We will continue to pray. She is in good hands with the medical staff who have done a great job,” Glenn said.
Hamlin’s player’s agent Ron Butler also told ESPN that the footballer’s blood oxygen levels have improved. According to Glenn, Hamlin was revived a second time not only in the field but also in an ambulance.
The 24-year-old collapsed after a routine defensive play during the Buffalo Bills’ game at the Cincinnati Bengals on Monday. The game was stopped when the Bengals were 7-3.
It is not yet clear when play will resume. This week, however, that won’t be the case, as announced by the NFL. The last game day of the main round of the football championship is scheduled for next weekend. Both the Bills and Bengals are already qualified for the playoffs, but still have room to improve on their starting positions.
