American Football: Amon-Ra St. Brown wins brotherly duel in the NFL

Football professional Amon-Ra St. Brown won the first duel with the Detroit Lions against his brother Equanimeous and the Chicago Bears this season.

In the North American professional league NFL, the Lions won 31:26 (14:10) thanks to a touchdown from David Montgomery in the last minute. With now eight wins from ten games Detroit still clearly on course for the playoffs.

Amon-Ra St. Brown, the son of a German mother and an American father, played a decisive role in the victory with a touchdown and eight caught passes for 77 yards. Only Justin Jefferson of the Minnesota Vikings has more games with at least six receptions in his first three seasons in the NFL. The 24-year-old Amon-Ra St. Brown can surpass Jefferson’s mark of 32 games this season.

Equanimeous St. Brown, who has rarely played for Chicago this season, caught two balls for 19 yards in the Bears’ unfortunate loss. But despite three interceptions from quarterback Jared Goff, the Lions prevailed.

Amon-Ra has only lost the first of five games against his brother, who is three years older. The next brotherly duel is already in three weeks on December 10th in Chicago.
