(Boursier.com) — American Electric Power announced for its third fiscal quarter a GAAP profit of $960 million or $1.80 per share, compared to $954 million a year earlier. Operating profit was $985 million over the period, or $1.85 per share, compared to $924 million a year before. “Our results this quarter were driven by our continued investments to improve service and improve the energy system to meet the needs of our customers and communities. Based on our progress so far this year, We are tightening our 2024 earnings guidance range and maintaining the midpoint of $5.63,” said Bill Fehrman, president and CEO of AEP.
