The sad news was released by the actress’s family: “We are saddened to announce that our loving mother has passed away after a battle with cancer that was only recently discovered.”
Allie was born in Wichita, Kansas to Robert Deal Allie and Lillian Allie. Ally first appeared on the big screen in 1982 in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan before appearing in several smaller films such as Blind Date and Runaway.
Allie was best known for her role on the television show Cheers, for which she received an Emmy Award and a Golden Globe in 1991.
