The American citizen, Aboud Okal, of Palestinian origins, found himself stranded with his family in the Gaza Strip, which was subjected to Israeli bombing and incursion after the attack launched by Hamas on October 7th. The Okal family, from the city of Midway, in the American state of Massachusetts, was visiting their relatives in Gaza when War broke out.
Abboud, his wife, and their son were able to leave the Strip and cross safely into Egypt early Thursday morning.
