The American artist Montero Lamar Hill, better known as Lil Nas X, could share a slightly special update to his twelve million followers on Instagram on Monday evening.
In the app’s story function, he posted several pictures of himself inside a tunnel and added the following message:

At the same time, the police in Oslo reported on Twitter that they had to close the eastbound race in the Fortress Tunnel because of four people on scooters. The police cannot confirm that the American artist was among them, but they can say that they have stopped four Americans.
– There were four Americans who got lost in the tunnel. They probably got into Hjortnessida and drove the scooter well into the tunnel, says operations manager Vidar Pedersen to Dagbladet.
The police are said to have been called down and checked the cameras in the tunnel themselves and saw the four kick cyclists.
– At one point they also crossed the road, and they realized that it was not so wise. They tried to get out but couldn’t. We then sent two police patrols, guided them out and onto the quay at the harbor, says Pedersen.
The operations manager says that the four Americans laid low and that he does not think there was any written follow-up.
– We took it in the category arranged on the spot. They laid down flat, and are out of the tunnel.
The American superstar will perform at the Slottsfjell festival in Tønsberg on Wednesday evening. There will probably be more horses on “Old Town Road” and fewer scooters in tunnels.
