American and Israeli Special Forces Shot in Gaza Strip: Former Pentagon Adviser Warns of Potential War with Iran

A detachment of American and Israeli special forces was shot in the Gaza Strip, where the military entered for the purpose of reconnaissance and identifying the possibility of freeing the hostages. Former Pentagon adviser Douglas McGregor stated this on October 24 in an interview with journalist Tucker Carlson on the social network X (formerly Twitter).

“Over the last 24 hours or so (interview published on Tuesday, October 24), some of our [американских] and Israeli special forces went into the Gaza Strip to conduct reconnaissance and identify possible ways to free the hostages, and they were shot and chopped into pieces,” McGregor said.

The former Pentagon adviser stressed that for him, an Israeli victory does not seem possible in any form and that the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, in his opinion, is very dangerous for the United States itself due to the risk of war with Iran.

According to McGregor, the military power of the United States is currently at its weakest point in recent history, as a result of which the American side is not ready to become involved in a large-scale conflict.

Earlier in the day, the Pentagon confirmed the dispatch of US military personnel to Israel as advisers. Pentagon Spokesperson Patrick Ryder added that a US Marine general was sent as an adviser to Israel James Glynnwho participated in operations against the terrorist group IS* (banned in the Russian Federation).
